When working with Tea Talk on their bubble tea kiosk, located on the ground floor of the 309 building in Westfield Newmarket, we incorporated their overflowing energy and passion into the fit-out, creating something more than just a place to grab a quick drink.
They wanted an eye-catching, fun design that would appeal to a young audience, and the final fit-out juxtaposes dynamic horizontal lines with vertical ribbed cladding, creating a vibrant contrast of yellow coloursteel roofing, white penny tiles, and black benchtops. Our team rose to the challenge posed by strict height restrictions, even using the location of the kiosk to great advantage, with signage directly on top of the canopy being visible to upper levels.
The arrangement of the counter further enhances the customer experience with an intuitive progression from ordering to product delivery, while the feature of a KAWS sculpture provides the perfect Instagram opportunity for the social-media-minded, blending pop culture perfectly with the nostalgia of old-school ice cream kiosks evoked by the canopy.
This was a fun project to work on that allowed the team chance to flex their creative muscles while still adhering to strict guidelines!
